Your homemade movies never looked this good!ĭVD-R (8cm), DVD+RW (8cm), DVD-RW (8cm), DVD Blur caused by unsteady hands, is now a thing of the past! What you see is what you get with the SC-DX103 DVD camcorder. A 680k pixel CCD produces crystal-clear, remarkably detailed images that are easily captured with the digital image stabilizer. The powerful 34x optical zoom lets you shoot even the farthest objects and still get high quality images. It is a keeper.Zoom in on your subjects without moving an inch. I already knew how to use it when I got it. Even though not High Def, I do not mind this one at all. I think I paid a bit more than I would have liked for an older model, but I got a "new" one with a 1 year warranty and all the goodies to go with it.

It also supports dual layer mini DVDs, but they can be "a bit too pricy" and a real pain to find at your local stores (although they hold a lot of data). You can still find the mini +/-R DVDs, (NOTE: Deleting and clearing re-writable discs only works on -R/RW). It has pretty good quality photo shots and fairly clean videos in normal mode for an older model. I can always upload contents of the SD card or disc to the computer later. I can hook it up to any T V/DVD recorder with RCA input jacks and it works fine! Editing is a breeze! Christmas greetings are much simpler to produce and copy on DVD format. I liked the features on this one as it had the on/off date and time feature in the menu plus some pretty cool editing functions. Those pesky time and date stamps/counters/function icons could not be removed from the other camera's images unless computer edited. (Granny's fumbly fingers)! I liked the way it worked then and decided that I wanted another one after I tried a few other basic digital cameras, (HD as well), and found them to be too "cheaply made" for the high prices, difficult when editing, and short battery life spans.

I had one before and sadly, it got dropped and quit working. Nice mini DVD camcorder, easy use, priced fair and granny approved!Īlthough a bit outdated, not high def and not as light as most modern camcorders, it is a relatively nice camera with lots of nice features.
